Bernie is not accepting this preemptive call of HRC victory by the press and DNC elite!6.6.2016
Shortly after The Associated Press updated its delegate count and declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, a spokesman for Bernie Sanders slammed the medias rush to judgment.
It is unfortunate that the media, in a rush to judgment, are ignoring the Democratic National Committees clear statement that it is wrong to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote at the convention this summer, spokesman Michael Briggs said Monday night.
Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then. They include more than 400 superdelegates who endorsed Secretary Clinton 10 months before the first caucuses and primaries and long before any other candidate was in the race.
Our job from now until the convention is to convince those superdelegates that Bernie is by far the strongest candidate...(in the General Election)

(13,326 posts)1. AP just wants to grab the headline, at the very best, and wants to help Clinton's coronation at the
worst. Either way, I am done with all MSM. I unplugged the cable years ago, and now it looks like I am going to unplug DU as well. "Underground" - what a joke.

(20,998 posts)2. I can just see the Coronation now....
...the "official" Vera Wang Presidential Pantsuit will be embroidered with a million dollars of seed pearls, in the Goldman Sachs logo pattern. The "official" coronation cape will be provided by MSMBC, with Steve and Rachael as the footmen (much the role they alredy perform)....Barbara Boxer will lead the procession, throwing shredded $100 bills and blowing kisses to the crowd.
Now I have to work on getting that picture out of my mind! Ewwwwww

and lemming media: you've helped me to make up my mind.
I was on the fence about how I might vote in November if Sanders is not on my ballot. Now I am decided.
So, thanks for clearing that up for me.
