That libertarian guy wants to take away Social Security!(along with our God-given freedoms to invade other countries and perform mass surveillance on private citizens).

Although I was kind of fond of the less-war position and the no-Patriot-Act positions of Dennis Kucinich when he was running for President, I'm getting ready to retire soon so I'm joining the new Me-Me-Me mindset so I'm focused on Social Security protection as Job #1.

This guy is basically unknown but he's recently polled at about 10% so it's a little scary to think what could happen down the road. He is a whack job and I don't like him, in spite of his support for same sex marriage etc. There's still too many months between now and the general election to be able to predict what might happen. He would probably try to sell off our national parks (although he is a mountain climber so maybe not); meanwhile the big defense cuts that he supports won't actually pass, and with a republican congress.. Well, you get the picture.

- he thinks he is all that and a bag of chips.
he was interviewed on democracy now awhile back when amy was in new mexico. he is a former governor of new mexico. his interview was a huge disappointment.

"independent" can mean one thing or another - and is no longer left nor easily defined by it's many platforms. it is a mish mash of tea party patriots and disheartened lefties - and far right opportunists like johnson.
