Has anyone considered that Trump was supposed to be a ruse, planted by Bill Clinton (remember Bill called Trump and suggested that he, a Democrat, run in the Republican primary). Bill's reasoning would be two-fold: 1. Trump would out crazy the Republican runners, thus revealing how far to the right and crazy-land, the Republican Party has gone; and 2. would distract from all of Hillary's negatives, thus bettering her chances to secure the presidency. However, the plan did not work as anticipated, and Trump won the nomination. As soon as he did, he has had to cancel Hillary's negatives by going more to the extreme than she...on Kissinger, on fracking and fossil fuel extraction, etc. This election is nothing more than a velvet coup by wealthy and powerful forces, ones that will achieve more power, control, and wealth than imaginable when the "trade" agreements pushed by Obama and Hillary are implemented, giving them sovereign powers that supersede that of local, state, and federal governments. And they will have the might of the U.S. military behind them. It will end the rule of law and cement the oligarchy. Go ahead. If Hillary is the nominee, celebrate and do so at your own risk.
Now, feel free to alert on me. Call me a conspiracist. It doesnt matter anymore. I am off to jackpineradicals.org where alternate views are welcome.

Not sure who they think they're foolin' - not many in this particular forum that's for damn sure.
We are the pawns in their sick little games.

(7,321 posts)We do have a choice, this time.
As rare an event as it maybe, it's right before us.
And by the way, it may not be in this election, but big changes are at hand for the next one. In my life, I've never seen anything like this on this scale.
Just for reference, I'm 65 + years old.
I have never ever seen anything on this scale before.
This one is different.

(17,651 posts)your thoughts. I just wish the sleeping ones would just wake up long enough to see that something's just not right, care enough and be brave enough to question everything then get motivated enough to want to change it.
It all seems surreal!

There's always been fissures within: 1968, 1972, 1980, but I've never seen this level of sharp divide on full display on a national level. DU is just a small reflective pond in that regard.
I have absolutely no doubt that plenty of Bernie supporters will be holding their noses, because the Drumpf Fear Factor.
Whether or not between the time she and Bill are handed the keys to the palace and the next election, will they once again hold their noses is a question which remains to be seen.
But in the meantime, I feel a major earthquake on the horizon...
