Bernie Sanders

From The Progressive Brief: http://progressivebrief.com/the-revolution-has-begun-sanders-democrats-win-primary-elections/
Bernie Sanders is running more than a Presidential campaign, he has created a progressive political movement. A core characteristic of any revolution is that it has no specific leader and runs off a decentralized model. A political revolution cant revolve singularly around any one figure, it must involve a group of people unified by a set of common ideological and policy associations.
Regardless of whether Sanders turns out to be the Democratic Presidential nominee or not since he has successfully created a political revolution, his policies of medicare for all, tuition-free college, a non-interventionist foreign policy and breaking up the big banks which pose a systemic risk to the US economy will all live on. While virtually all the media coverage focused on the Presidential primaries that happened in California, North Dakota, South Dakota, New Jersey, Montana and New Mexico, many Democratic Presidential primaries also took place tonight. The majority of Sanders Democrats were running for election for the first time and so lost considerably to entrenched incumbents or prominent party figures, but meanwhile, others secured their nominations.
In Californias 3rd district, Ron Varasteh a self-described Berniecrat and community organizer defeated his opponent Dr. Max Gouron comfortably. Varasteh came out as an endorser for Bernie Sanders very early in the process and will even be travelling to the Democratic National Convention in July representing Sanders as a delegate.
The Revolution continues!
