🐦 Bernie Sanders to appear in Kenosha - UAW Local 72 Town Hall - December 12

KENOSHA — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is scheduled to appear in Kenosha next week for a television show taping.

Sanders, who sought the Democratic Party nomination for president this year, will be at United Auto Workers Local 72, 3615 Washington Ave., at about 2 p.m. Monday for a town hall meeting with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. The program will air at 7 p.m. Monday.

The UAW building is located just southeast of Bradford High School.

Hayes’ show billed the program as “All in America: Bernie Sanders in Trump Country.”

The event is not ticketed, but a big crowd is expected.

Sanders also visited Kenosha during the presidential primary campaign, making a March 30 speech at Carthage College. He won the Wisconsin primary over eventual Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton with about 57 percent of the vote.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will visit Kenosha on Monday for a taping of MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes.” The progressive leader and former Democratic presidential candidate is expected to talk about trade policy, the election and Donald Trump at UAW Local 72 (on Washington Road). State. Rep. Tod Ohnstad, D-Kenosha, helped organize the event, which will take place at 2 or 3 p.m. and air Monday night on MSNBC.

It will include a panel discussion with retired autoworkers, union representatives and mechanics. Ohnstad said there is no registration required to attend, but expects the event to reach capacity. Sanders visited Kenosha in March, during the unexpectedly tight race for the Democratic presidential nomination against Hillary Clinton. Thousands of students, retirees and supporters descended upon Carthage College for his rally. Sanders went on to win Wisconsin during the primary.

I am sure it rubs some on this site wrong but it is just so good to hear him. He is so good at talking to people who totally disagree with him. He makes them think because he does not punch them in the face with how "right" he is and how "wrong" they are. He is just so good at this.

I am proud that he has been given a leadership role. No matter how many people try to make fun of it or say it is nothing really he will use it like nobody else would and make it a good thing for not just the Dems but for the whole country.
