Related: About this forumOkay is it just me? For some reason I am in such a good mood and I
feel like the first time in quite a while I can take a breath and relax.

(28,749 posts)I'm frustrated by the politics of DU, and of groups vs. forums in general but I don't blame anyone specific for that.
It's a bit odd in my house now since I am odd man out.

(55,981 posts)My expectations were high, thinking that a Democratic president could undo most of the damage done by his predecessor and he has in some areas. But other areas he has embraced the stands of Bush/Cheney and expanded on them. He betrayed the Left in a number of areas. I was intentionally naive.
With Sen Sanders I feel that he is an important part of the Populist Movement, but he isn't everything. I know that it will be a very hard, dirty, uphill fight against Goldman-Sachs and the Wall Street boys.
I understand how you feel. It's the Movement. It's time.

(41,818 posts)This has been great the last few days on DU, I was starting to think, maybe I was missing something, but its a breath of fresh air coming in, and I rather like it, and I honestly feel optimistic about this guy Bernie Sanders. I haven't gone gun-ho like you guys have in decorating my posts with Bernie stuff..but eventually I will get into the team spirit of things, and start doing it..
I guess right now, my only fear at this point, in wearing lots of Bernie stuff, is being chastised by the other side... I still feel a bit fragile, emotionally.. and its so easy for me to be a target.

(41,818 posts)pick my words wisely in GD, or people will jump all over me, because of that, I chose not to say much, but I do like posting articles. Even right now, I have been informed the Silly poll I did was alerted on!!!

It was supposed to be fun, and yet alerted on. Fortunately, the Jury allowed it.. but geese louise, you have to tip toe though the land mines!!

(41,818 posts)5-2, I would still like to see that posting, OMG, if the jury went the other way, the post would be hidden, and I would have been locked out of it. I am sure there are a few on DU would have loved to have seen that happen.

(28,749 posts)AUTOMATED MESSAGE: Results of your Jury Service
On Sun May 3, 2015, 10:42 AM an alert was sent on the following post:
Bernie Sanders- BAD HAIR DAYS ?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026610719
REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
This is inappropriate. If someone started a thread like this on Hillary, DU would explode. Let's stick to policies folks.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun May 3, 2015, 10:45 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: IMHO, this doesn't fit GD but not hide worthy.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I agree with the alert.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Sanderista chill, this OP is sarcasm. Hope the DU jury isn't as stupid as the alerter thinks. The Sanders/Hillary war need to chill as it happens both of these candidates are on the same side, weird I know.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(23,867 posts)I loved his "press conference" where he prefaced it with the need to cut things short. No hype.
I used to be terrified of DU, or I'd have joined earlier than I did. My pulse still quickens once in a while, but it's no longer earth shattering if someone disagrees with me.
You're safe in the Bernie group.

(23,867 posts)I have not been this excited since McGovern, and somewhat with Kucinich since he didn't seem to stand a chance.
Yeah, it feels like the early 2000's on DU as well.
Talk about energized.

(7,499 posts)It's hope, which I haven't felt for a long time. Some say Bernie is a long shot, but I don't think so. People are so sick and tired of the status quo, the power brokers controlling Washington, and politicians who say one thing and do something else once elected. Bernie is the real deal. This may very well be his time (and ours!).
Go Bernie!
