I just came from my massage therapist.

She was absolutely afire over Bernie; had already set up a monthly contribution and volunteered.

Actually, this isn't too surprising because she & her husband are Greenish Dems, but it was a really pleasant discussion. It was a great start to the day.

I notice some poll numbers show that since he was first included in Oct 2014 his poll numbers have gone from 1% to hovering between 7.1 and even as high as 10%. And this is before he announced his run for the WH.

Basically they have gone up steadily as more people become aware of him.

Because his concerns align more than any other candidate's with their interests.

And he's genuine.

And the hair.

I think a new fashion is about to be launched. I saw a guy earlier in a store with hair like Bernie's and thought how 'in' he is right now.

He was probably wondering why he was being stared at. Nearly went over to tell him. Next time I will and then ask for an authograph!

Lol, whatever it takes!

People need to hear about Bernie and take a look at him now before the campaign and all that money starts going. He is the candidate who has released his platform from day 1, so he's ready to go on the issues. I think it's going to be easy to get people on board because he says what they really feel.

she hadn't heard of him so i jotted down his name and a URL to his Austin town hall meeting and gave it to her. She was very receptive!

I was there to send this letter to Senator Sanders: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1280&pid=4268

That is the video I am sending to friends. I think it is perfect, because if people watch the first five minutes, they will get sucked in for the rest. Good sound and picture helps too. I think this will be the template of his stump speech. If we get a more condensed version at another venue, I'll show that around.

What I love is that he wasn't reading a script. He talked for 45 minutes about this just by glancing at his notes. I'm sure this wasn't the first time he had given that speech, but he really connected with the people in the room.

And I think with people like you on Bernie's side, his smaller budget can go a long long way.

You see, in addition to having cardiovascular disease and peripheral artery disease that has completely blocked off my right femoral artery and severely impaired my mobility, and some other related problems all due to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam in 1967-68, I get some pretty awful leg cramps due to things like lactic acid buildup in the muscles.

So, you'r fuckin' right. It's pretty hilarious that I get massages that relieve the pain and permit me to function a little better.

Wow, man, I can hardly type because I'm laughing so hard at myself.

My sincere apologies, Jackpine. I was only chuckling about your response to "lame54" sounding surprised about you having a massage therapist. You said "only one" because they added a plural to their question. I was in no way disparaging you for needed therapy. (Heck it would be fine even if you didn't need it!) So, I'm sorry. I know it's not a laughing matter.

I have relatives who also served in Nam, and a childhood friend who never came back, alive that is.

I wish nothing but the best for your continued health.

Oh, and I am a longtime fan of Bernie.

I totally misunderstood. In fact, I didn't look very carefully and thought I was responding to the person who made the original comment, so in fact I owe you an apology.

In fact, I'm embarrassed because I like to think that I can generally figure out people's intentions in posts, including when humor is involved, and I really missed on that one.

I guess I'm a little hypersensitive these days, partly due to the fact that I'm dealing with a fair amount of pain. Sometimes my reactions to things are not too bright. My morning consisted of that massage plus an ultrasound examination of the arterial blood flow in my legs after having had a couple of stents placed in my iliac artery, trying to open the vessels a bit. It was that procedure a month ago that revealed the condition of my femoral artery, and today's tests pretty much suggest that the stents didn't do much.

You have MUCH more important stuff to be concerned about then quick or flip responses on DU...unless you could actually use the distraction...

As I picked up a prescription for something needed for advancing age, the 20-something pharmacy clerk asked brightly "Is there something else I can help you with?" I relied "No, thanks" but I thought 'Yeah, how about a way to NOT get any older'

Best of luck Jackpine. After all you've been thru, it doesn't seem fair you should have to suffer the indignities to which the flesh is heir...

sorry to hear about the leg pain. My wife suffers from neuropathy. It makes no sense, but it is possible to feel numb and hurt at the same time. I wish Texas would legalize pot- hydrocodone is nasty stuff, and she hates taking it. Things started going down hill once pain killers got involved.

A little Tylenol for sleep, maybe once or twice a week. You habituate to most pain killers.

She asked why I seemed so enthusiastic and energetic, and I said "Bernie", and she didn't kjonw what I was talking about. A few minutes later, she was also excited, as we looked at his info on the net. She's going to try and get her parents to vote for him, and I believe they're conservatives.

The media will never pick up on it until it's too late. They get all their (mis)information from each other, while we peasants are organizing and recruiting face-to-face in places the media don't even know exist.

It's an Under the Radar campaign.

Bernie wins NH--A fluke.

Bernie wins Iowa--Carville asks--"What the hell went wrong with Hill"s campaign?" The media dig & root around Was it the emails? Was it the Clinton Foundation stories? Wrongheaded theories proliferate. Hillary replaces her campaign manager & re-tools.

Panic ensues.

Etc.
