Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumM$M has gone completely dark re: Candidate Bernie Sanders
According to our friends in corporate media, Bernie Sanders ceased to exist 1-2 weeks ago,
when it finally became undeniable what a serious contender Bernie really is in this race.
Rachael Maddow & Chris Hayes on msnbc were the last two hold-outs, who would give some
air-time to update on the Sanders campaign most recent rally or surging poll numbers. No
more. Bernie has gone completely off-the-screen, out of sight, out of mind. Apparently --
if their enthusiasm was genuine in the first place -- Rachael & Chris like their jobs very much
and "got the memo" to go dark when Big Ed was fired for ... yep .. too much Bernie.
This may be a very slight exaggeration, as there may be one or two outlier snippets or
oblique snide references to Bernie here-and-there; but they'd be very easy to miss if you
blinked.
It seems wall-to-wall "stories" that pass for bipartisan 'primary election news' now
consist solely of Trump's antics (of course) on the GOP side, and Hillary's bogus email
'scandal' for the Dems. Oh, and whether Joe is in-or-out. .. and that's it folks.
Not totally surprising, but concerning never the less.
This is not doom & gloom. We knew this would likely happen sooner or later, as Bernie
"kept it up" insisting on talking about real issues facing voters. Bernie knows it too, which
i why he's been emphasizing how his campaign will need to be a "political revolution", not
a conventional business-as-usual campaign that relies on M$M coverage for their very
existence.
I'm looking fwd to Bernie's Happy Birthday Money Bomb, and plan to contribute again,
because every time I donate, I feel The Bern all over again!!

(19,326 posts)yes, Hillary's trends are abysmal, and it's rather late for Joe to
start trying to super-impose himself as 'the establishment' candidate.
I don't do twitter but do Facebook, so I guess I'll need to step up
my posting there a bit.

(19,326 posts)into spending 1/2 her show, 2-3 days in a row, about whether the GOP would
include Carly Fiorina in the CNN debate or not. Then a few email & Joe snippets,
to "balance" it out.

(34,661 posts)Corporate Media had planned on a sack Hillary campaign, but, this Bernie Guy messed up their plans. These clowns wanted to be the King Makers. Not working out to well,if you have been following media trends in recent months, the only folks that follow the so called regular Media are us old farts that are still reminiscing about the days and thinking they might just return and the real reporters like Dan Rather,Howard K. Smith and others.
