They were calling this "Bernie on a Stick"
I am pleased to report that the Bernie table in the DFL booth was pretty busy when we stopped and they told me the crowds had been steady and really positive. A young one asked me if I knew about the precinct caucuses on March 1 and, upon hearing I'd been to every caucus since McGovern ran, another volunteer (more my age), asked me to note on my sign up sheet that I could help with caucus education. And I was able to pick up some Bernie gear (a button and a T-shirt). As I wandered the fair grounds I had 2 people ask me where to get a Bernie button.
Only one other candidate had a table there - and it was not nearly as busy but that could have been my timing. I did notice that the volunteers were not as young as most of Bernie's and they did not seem and they did not seem as enthusiastic. And in a caucus state enthusiasm goes a long way.
