Bernie Sanders is all wet !

Bernie Sanders is on his third speech of the day, drenched in sweat, and losing his voice from calling for the overthrow of America’s “billionaire class”.

“Brothers and sisters, you are not living in a democracy; you are living in an oligarchy,” the leftwing Democratic presidential candidate tells an audience of Iowa supporters enthralled by his stinging attack on campaign finance and corporate lobbying.
“People fought and died to defend American democracy and I will be damned if I am going to let them take that away from us.”

Sanders’s campaign for the presidential nomination in 2016 breaks all the rules of modern politics. He is angry, dishevelled and making no attempt to soften his message ...

Hope he watches himself. Do not want to see him have a health problem from dehydration.

I don't want to sound corny here, but Bernie at 73 should be finishing off a final term then going to a happy retirement. Instead he is sacrificing himself for his principles and for us, the American people.

That's why I'm supporting him, because I cannot think he actually WANTED to do this. But it is the right thing.

Some people thrive on this sort of thing, and there's a good chance Bernie's one of them.

A lot of people. especially those who feel a life purpose, will never retire. They would die of boredom.

There are all kinds of studies that prove this. One that comes to mind is the heart attack study with retired postal workers. Some retirees continued to have a good deal of personal contact, such as meeting with each other for coffee every day or every other day. Others "sunk" into retirement, and didn't have that daily contact they had when they were delivering the mail and greeting the people along their route.

Guess which one had the highest rate of heart attack?

I suggest that people go into their various jobs for a reason. Postal workers might be people who enjoy a certain level of social contact each day.

Accordingly, Bernie may thrive on speaking to people, and bringing awareness and rallying people for change.

Without it, he might fail to thrive.

I can only imagine what it will be like when he is in the office and leading the change. Now that is a truly exciting thought.

I have been ORDERED to step back since I was diagnosed with MS about a month ago. I’m too dizzy to drive so I can’t meet up with pals, and I have been told to stay the hell out of the restaurant I opened 18 months ago until I get to a specialist and get on the right medication. So hang out all day with my cats and dogs reading until my husband comes home, cook him dinner and go to bed.

I AM LOSING MY MIND.

Oh the richmanity! Those designer frocks absolutely ruined, I tell you, ruined! What a bunch of pampered and entitled one percenters. They've never worked up an honest sweat except on the squash court or with that brute of a personal trainer in their private gym.

Bad timing left 200 guests soaking wet during a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in the Hamptons Sunday.

The presidential candidate had just been introduced on the lawn of designer Tory Burch’s $38 million home when the sprinkler system turned on — drenching everyone at a party whose guests included Anna Wintour, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan and Barneys owner Richard Perry.

Hillary was fêted by a high-fashion crowd at Tory Burch’s majestic Hamptons mansion on Sunday — but well-heeled guests got drenched by the designer’s sprinkler system as the presidential candidate stood up to speak.

Guests at Burch’s palatial, $38 million “Gatsby”-era estate, which sits on 15.4 lush acres in Southampton, included Anna Wintour, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan, Barneys owner Richard Perry and his designer wife, Lisa. But as Hillary, who was on a covered terrace, started to speak to 200 guests who fanned out into the garden, Burch’s sprinkler system suddenly went on, soaking some of the well-attired attendees.

Clinton then remarked that she “hopes to be the first woman president ever on the cover of Vogue,” but the sprinkler snafu “itself made the entry price worthwhile,” our source added.
