Wolf keeps bringing up Hillary. Bernie is great at deflecting him!

(5,082 posts)So why should it surprise anyone. Most of us are sick of their collusion and nothing changing. We are sick of whatever the establishment threatened Obama with to make him flip flop on issues such as NSA telecom immunity to hiring all lobbyists to regulatory positions...the exact opposite of what he promised he would do. Our system is rotten to the core and the Bidens and Clintons are doing nothing to change anything. They live in fear of the Republicans and then cash in.

(4,211 posts)Bush would never suggest automatic voter registration at the age of 18 , with optional opt-out... and she did. Credit where credit is due. It's a great idea...one I could see Bernie adopting.

So on a few domestic issues there are some differences, but one can't pretend to be a Dem or a Repub without taking certain positions, so who knows where any of them stand on anything. When it comes to MONEY and WAR they are all on the same track.
Bernie otoh, is one of the few who actually stands up to them all and tells the people the truth and who is not for sale.
Bubzer
(4,211 posts)but she's nowhere near as bad as the worst president ever. That's a whole other level.
That said, Bernie is still my number one choice.

(4,211 posts)She holds a very rare title of honorary Bush Family member. Study their connections and you will see she works for them. No wonder she is funded by the private prison industry.
Bubzer
(4,211 posts)I certainly don't like the ties to private prisons, or her connections with big banks... I also don't like her lack of stance on the TPP and keystoneXL pipeline... but that doesn't make her equivalent to Bush Jr. I mean, really consider it... has Hillary sent thousands upon thousands of soldiers to their death in a desperate grab for wealth and glory? Bush has considerable blood on his hands. Hillary doesn't. That alone makes this an unreasonable equivalence. Add to that the utterly bumbling buffoonery that was Bush Jr... Hillary is far and away not a buffoon. She's smart. Very smart. She's not quite where I'd like to see her on the issues, but that still doesn't make her remotely close to Bush. You think she's Bush 2.0, but I just don't see it. If you want to share whatever links or articles you've discovered that support your stance, I'll look them over... but until then, we'll have to agree to disagree.
But she like her husband answer to Bush Sr. Revolting.
Bubzer
(4,211 posts)I might be confusing discussions or someone might have edited their comment.
I thought I saw someone say she was bush version 2.0, which I wholeheartedly disagree with... being in collusion with them, on the other hand, I neither agree nor disagree with... but only because I haven't looked into it.

(5,082 posts)Towards the end of the primary campaign after he and her met with the money men in Europe he did flip flip. He not only decided to not filibuster the Telecom Immunity Bill protecting spying on all Americans but he even decided to vote for it. That's when I knew a deal had been made.

(2,212 posts)Bernie makes the statement, respectfully, that the public is sick and tired of the mainstream media's unwillingness to cover real issues and, by implication, is tired of its obsession with horserace, personality-based coverage.
Blitzer nods his head... and then goes on to ask question after question about Hillary, hoping to get Sanders to make disparaging remarks.
Blitzer, don't be such a dope. It's embarrassing to watch, truly.

Old Crow
(2,212 posts)... sometimes I think I detect a trace of a smile on his face at moments like this.
Clearly patience and toleration are two of Bernie's strengths. Me? I'd probably come out with, "See?! You're doing it again! WTF is wrong with you?!" Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't have the temperament to be a politician.

(10,345 posts)"Ahhh HAAAA! See look at cha! hahaha, you gonna ask me about the issues yet? Hillary again? here's an answer for you, she's great! next question please."
then I'd fart on the interviewer or something because personally I don't care to be president, I'm just here to laugh.

I tend to think the same way about Debbie You-know-who. I often get all indignant and wonder, "Why haven't they gotten rid of her?" And then I catch myself and remember: Well, because she's doing exactly what they want her to do. She's fulfilling that role just fine.
Yuck. Things need to change.
Go, Bernie!

(62,325 posts)the People are interested in so they hire people who represent THEM. DWS is just perfect for the job. She takes the heat, they take the benefits, she will be rewarded, they all are, once they leave Congress.
.
Yes, things have to change. As Warren AND Bernie and now even Biden surprisingly, have said repeatedly 'the system is rigged'. It has been thoroughly corrupted by money.
Bernie I believe stated correctly, that Congress doesn't write legislation anymore, they merely rubber stamp what is given to them by their big donors.
See the The Dark Act eg. Over 90% of the American people WANT their food labeled. But clearly that is irrelevant now, because we are no longer a democracy, we are as both Biden and Bernie have said, an Oligarchy.
Which is why we do need a political revolution to change things. One person cannot do it.
