Bernie Sanders

ATLANTA -- For anybody who thinks Senator Bernie Sanders is just some cranky old socialist out of Vermont
think again.
His message is clearly striking a chord with voters, especially in the north. The question now is can he sell it in the South?
He arrived in Atlanta Friday for the first step in that mission.
"Congratulations!" he told the roaring crowd of more than a thousand gathered at 200 Peachtree Street. "Whether you know it or not, you are now part of the political revolution!"
Deafening cheers erupted immediately. Mostly because Sanders was preaching to the choir; a crowd hungry to see the Democratic underdog, who's now the top dog, at least in some of the early polling.
"If we do not let our opponents divide us up by race or where we were born or whether we're gay or straight
when we stand together there is nothing that we cannot accomplish!"

Overall positive coverage but with some undertones of relax, upper crust - he can't win. Just my (annoyed) opinion.

(459 posts)The choir, as you so sarcastically put it is all of America.
If you still want to sound like CNN you're about to lose more followers.
Bernie is the front runner and that's the shit you right! Nice!!!

(8,200 posts)Sanders has come a long way in a short time. Only time will tell if he is the nominee. If he is the party's nominee can he actually win the election? Perhaps, but it isn't guaranteed. The GOP will flood the airways with vicious attacks calling him nothing more than a damn communist that wants to nationalize every business in the U.S. I see many on this board who seem obsessed with bashing Hillary Clinton in their support for Sanders and I can't help from wondering if they will show up at the polls if Clinton wins the nomination. According many on this board it appears that she has never done a damn thing right in her entire life including her work as Secretary of State.
