They did it again on Diane Rehm show!

Diane wasn't there...I think it was Suzanne Day.

They were discussing GOP Debate #2, and how the field is full 0.1% incomes--including Hillary on that list.

Then she points out a couple of GOP contenders who WERE NOT born with a silver spoon in mouth, and did not rank in the 0.1%, and strangely enough, Bernie's name didn't come up!

If Hillary's did, and his didn't, it's too frequent to be a coincidence.

The Corporate Media is fervently hoping that Bernie will just go away....it will be a great astonishment to them when he doesn't.

if you count as one time the several times Sanders corrected her about dual citizenship and she would not back down.

Can anyone, ANYone, name a time Rehm's show made an error in Bernie's favor? 'Cause I have a diner rule: http://www.democraticunderground.com/128037667

were newsworthy, NPR would cover it. (snort). Maybe they should do a story on why they don't just tell the truth about him?

In related news, a poll done by WBUR, an NPR station, shows Bernie dropping in NH.

Some of the several DU dual citizenship posts.

Then, a false statement that Bernie had said "All lives matter," when only Hillary and O'Malley had said it.

Now, "accidentally" leaving him off the list of candidates who were not born rich.

The greatest grassroots campaign the nation has known at least in the past 100 years, and it's not NEWS???

What constitutes news, pray tell? Arresting kids who build clocks? Clerks who refuse to do their jobs? Police shooting citizens? Does it have to bleed to lead?

if a specific media company doesn't admit that Obama is a Communist, non-American Muslim it is evidence that the media company is leftist. They firmly believe the media is liberal.

I listened to a podcast this morning--someone with whom I had gone to school emailed me a link.

I "learned" that the myth of global warming cause by human activity is anti-capitalist and a scheme to impose global taxation. I assume the anti-Christ will be the one to impose it, as soon as he gains control of the world but I'm not entirely sure as I was reeling.

in which she spent the first 10 minutes chastising him for getting stuck in traffic and calling thru to the studio on his phone.
I kept wondering to myself, "if npr is going to hire shit interviewers, there should be a pretty wide pool of applicants who don't also slur their speech"
maybe cruel and ableist, but my first impression was NOT good

She suffers from dysphonia, spasms of the vocal cords, so badly that she has to go get botox treatments on a regular basis. Even after treatment, her voice is grating, so painful to listen to, that many don't even bother any more. Her interviewing style has become increasingly gritty, as well.

But she owns stock, or blackmails someone, or something. NPR keeps her on regardless of how she sounds, vocally and content-wise. She's been there long enough; can't think why they don't make her an offer she can't refuse. She's been at it since 1979, FFS! She's pushing 80.

NPR is not nearly as much of a problem as the regular networks, CBS, NBC, Fox, & ABC, etc., and the general punditry on Right-Wing talk radio. I think NPR does make an effort to be fair. Today I heard on the Diane Rehm show (Diane was gone and a sub was working the mike) a commentator talking about Bernie's remarkable speech at Liberty U. It was a very favorable description of what Bernie was able to do in that speech, and how none of the other Dem candidates had responded to Liberty U's invitation, etc. I thought it was a very well done and favorable description of Bernie's week.

That's not to gloss over what NPR can do and probably will do in the future. I remember how much my view of NPR changed during the run-up to the Iraq disaster. They were no better than the mainstream media, interviewing the usual suspects and idiots spewing the same lies, and barely a nod toward the very sizable portion of the populus that was opposed to the invasion and total destruction of the country. As soon as some of the corporations begin to put the screws to them, they (NPR) will bark and roll over just like the MSM.
