People might ask "Where are the HRC toons?" Well, my experience has been that the cartoonists really don't like her. Even the liberal artists like Luckovich and Toles rarely draw her, unless there is some sort of ridiculous made-up scandal being passed around. I mostly see very negative toons about her from across the political spectrum. It is what it is.

Bernie doesn't get many, but they generally are positive (counting out the usual RW shills). I get the impression he is as well liked as the President among the toon community.

10. As a practicing cartoonist...

... who posts 'toons from World News Trust in "Good Reads" every Sunday, I haven't drawn any cartoons about the former First Lady/Senator/Secretary of State because she hasn't said or done much that's cartoon-worthy... yet. The Issa/Gowdy clown show about Benghazi is getting really old, as is the e-mail thing.

Another factor, at least from the perspective of a DU regular, is the instant blowback from certain quarters if you so much as mention her name. And if it's in the same sentence as a certain Jewish socialist, fuhgeddaboutit! They're all over you like a swarm of zombie killer bees from Hell. Or even worse, NEW JERSEY! (Hmm...what's that angry buzzing sound?)

I've done three cartoons so far about Bernie that are in the "Good reads" archives. One even tops the list of Google searches if you type in Super Bernie, then click on IMAGES. Just had that brought to my attention this morning. Nice way to start the day!

In the interest of full disclosure, Bernie is one of my senators. I've met him, and spoken with him a few times, and he will continue to have my enthusiastic support.

They'll talk of secession, revolution, suicide, whatever, until they realize the value of good health care, free college, a friendlier economy.
