Of course, it will be nothing compared to Hillary and her Super Pacs or the Republicans and theirs.

But, Bernie will owe you and me and only you and me.

president. I think we could easily double that in the general once people get focused. But god I hate talking about the money it takes to win. It's one of the strongest arguments for Bernie. It's also one of the strongest frameworks from which to understand the corporate media's reluctance to call the race as it is rather than as they would like for it to be.

Because these days 200 million won't get you elected dog catcher.

And Hillary's $4M ad blitz in NH caused her to drop 10 points or so behind Bernie.

When you have too much money, you spend it on all the wrong things. You end up with a bunch of lame-brained marketing people who are so far out of touch with what's going on that everything they have you do is the exact opposite of what you need to do, and you pay a fortune for their bad advice to boot.

You need a fortune if you are running a traditional campaign, paying a bazillion pollsters to check the wind every 5 minutes, a bazillion PR people to tell you how to dress (hint to Hillary: lose the orange pantsuit. You look like a pumpkin in it, and the rwnutjobs see an orange jumpsuit), that you need $600 haircuts, what to say, and so on.

Bernie is not running a traditional campaign. He doesn't need hundreds of thousands for his wardrobe or consultants to tell him which way the breeze is blowing.

He needs money, of course. But not like those other folks do.

His charisma, his message, his inner light if you will.

But will it be enough?

The movement makes him so enigmatic that the money flow will have to be switched in reverse. Big Media corps. will have to pay him to hold his nose to step foot in their studios. So cool net neutrality did not get shut down this go-around. All we need is this one last chance to make things right.

His campaign has been very, very money smart...as far as we know, they have spent cautiously.

Also they are leveraging the net and social media like no one has before.

All that means savings of $$$ and, being very nimble to respond and promote.

Brilliant!

that their fundraising numbers would be record-breaking. I didn't post anything I saw because I didn't want to jinx it, lol.

Then came the "can we make a million e-donations" email last week.

I'm lsooo ooking forward to next week's announcements.

They are leveraging the net and social media like no one has before.

And even saving by flying commercial coach while other candidates fly around in that private "loaner" jet...that costs a fortune but it feeds their egos.

Talk, is cheap...and all Bernie has to do is just keep talking...he's his own best bargain!
