Sen. Sanders Statement on Syria

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday issued the following statement on Syria:

“We do not want to make a very complex situation in Syria even worse. I support President Obama’s effort to combat the Islamic State in Syria while at the same time supporting those in Syria trying to overthrow the brutal dictatorship of Bashar Assad.

“I oppose, at this point, a unilateral American no-fly zone in Syria which could get us more deeply involved in that horrible civil war and lead to a never-ending U.S. entanglement in that region.”

But I have to wonder how he plans to support people trying to overthrow the "brutal" dictator Assad?

Is he planning to do it by supporting the terrorists fighting in that country? Or by supporting the regional powers like Saudi Arabia fix the problem. The latter is something he proposed recently.

Trying to find a decent candidate with a sane foreign policy is akin to trying to find a stylish size 15 shoes. At the end, you always have to settle
