Of course the ones I worked with are from the post draft military and probably were there because they had few options to make a living. I would say from my experience quite the opposite was true. During the Viet Nam era knew a lot of lefty soldiers, too.

In short, you might be a socialist if you accept any service, program, or benefit that is supported in whole or in part by tax money.
Im sure all those good folks protesting government programs like health care because they are socialistic will lead by example and forswear using all of the above socialistic agenda items and any others that may have been omitted.

All those libertarian types would rush in and probably kill each other off and we could bury that philosophy forever.
