Democratic socialist Sanders outraises Bush, other Republicans in third quarter

Last edited Thu Oct 15, 2015, 09:30 PM - Edit history (1)

It turns out being a democratic socialist can pay.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent running for the Democratic presidential nomination, raised $26 million in the third quarter, his campaign said earlier this month.

That’s about twice as much as what Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor seeking the Republican nomination, brought in, according to numbers released Thursday. Bush brought in $13.4 million between July and September.

1) Clinton supporters are mostly maxed out, and cannot donate any further until general election gets underway.
2) Bernie supporters aren't mostly maxed out can and will donate over and over again. 48 hours post-debate, Bernie reports 3.2 million dollars raised.
