11. I think banning people is undemocratic

I think it exacerbates division because it draws a clear distinction of us vs. them between Democrats. An individual hiding another individual's posts is fine, but kicking someone out of a group? That's vindictive and hurtful and not at all democratic. DU is the best place to find the latest news but it's the place where even polite and well-meaning posters can find they are unwelcome.

didn't visit enough.

They suck up people from the home page of DU, wait for a non-sycophantic reply to one of their threads then summarily decapitate the wayward poster.

Egging brave on to piss people off, then I get called a hypocrit because I'm a basket of snark. Apparently being a wise ass is far worse than encouraging conflict.

Id have called half of em fam here on the boards before 4 months ago.
Then I became a whitesplain'in supporter if a self proclaimed socialist who's also a racially insensitive misogynist with a group of supporters that hate anyone unlike themselves and hate hill with a passion that should have 'condensed gowdy' on it.
I swear I'd write them off as fodder for the coming revolution if I didn't believe that our WORST angels are on display I'm the primaries.

I got banned yesterday. Honestly, I didn't realize I was posting at camp weather-vane. I never go there and had no intention of dropping in. Whatever.

My huge offense was in calling a poster out for slinging mud at Bernie supporters just days after we had been supportive of HRC during the hearings. Apparently, the kindness and goodwill is supposed to go only one way.

I accidentally posted something in the BOG, got banned, rightfully so (not that I ever went there on purpose anyway ) and thought that was fair enough. Accidentally posted something in a AA group, got a warning, deleted my post, that's okay, I thought that was more than fair.

A group that forms a new website to specifically demonize Bernie's supporters is not going to be influenced by anything you say, anyway.

This post is meta and doesn't really have anything to do with Bernie. Please delete.
