SoapBox
(18,791 posts)"Vote open to full MoveOn membership will begin at noon Eastern on Thursday and run through 2:59 a.m. Eastern Monday morning; vote continues MoveOns history of putting members in drivers seat on key decisions."
I just saw a mention that there may be an email sent out to members for voting.
At the link above, if I read it correctly, anyone can vote (assume on their site) BUT the only votes that will be counted are members...that would make sense then to vote via an email.
Keep your eyes peeled!

Guys, we dropped the ball. Today is the last day to sign up for Moveon.org to vote in their endorsement poll. We need to make sure every Sanders supporter joins the site NOW. This group has even more members than DFA (7 mil). We only have 16 hours to make sure every Sanders supporter sees this. self.SandersForPresident

**What is Moveon.org?**
Moveon.org is a PAC with 7 million members that backs progressive candidates in national elections. Their endorsement of Obama in the 2008 election was considered a game-changer, and they have over doubled in size since then. They donate millions of dollars to campaigns across the nation, and would be a massive boon to the campaign. On top of the money, they also are a massive and respected progressive organization, and their endorsement would show that Sanders is the only true progressive in the race.
**What is going on?**
Moveon is holding a poll of their members to determine their endorsement in the upcoming Democratic primaries. We need 67% to win the endorsement. The poll opens tomorrow, after which you can no longer sign up to be a member.
**What do I do?**
First: Sign up for moveon at this link[1] .
Second: Spread this link far and wide among all of your friends and family over the next 16 hours.
Third: Notify all local Grassroots For Sanders pages on Facebook and Twitter.
Fourth: Click this link.[2] This takes you to a Facebook search for Bernie Sanders. Scroll down to "Posts from Friends and Groups" and click on that. You will then see all of your friends that have posted about Sanders. Send each of them a little blurb, something like this: "Hey, I noticed you're a Sanders supporter too! We're trying to win Sanders a major endorsement of a 7 million member group, who would donate tons of money to his campaign. All you need to to is sign up for the site by the end of the day at this link: https://petitions.moveon.org/login/register.html[3] . Then tomorrow, they will send out an endorsement poll for you to vote in. It'll only take a few minutes and will hugely impact the election. Sorry to bother you!"
Fifth: Tomorrow, vote in the endorsement poll. When there is a link available for that, we will send it out tomorrow.
Guys, this is really big. This one slipped through the cracks on us, which means that we need to make this the big thing we do today. We didnt have the week long blasts that we did for the DFA, so every single person who signs up matters. I believe that we can pull this off, because we have the most powerful and energetic grassroots in presidential election history. It will just take every last one of us.
Edit: u/thorisbae111 [4] did make a great post about this yesterday too, didn't mean to step on his toes when I said we dropped the ball. Apparently, moveon just didn't give us any notice. More importantly, we need to make sure every Sanders supporter on the internet today sees this.
TLDR: Y'all are great and didn't screw up in any way, we're just really short on time. We got this.
UPDATE: WE HAVE UNTIL NOON EASTERN TOMORROW, RATHER THAN MIDNIGHT AS ORIGINALLY STATED.
EDITS:I made multiple edits in my post history to fix some broken links.
