Sanders edges closer in California

By Torin - January 6, 2016

Polling in the key state of California shows Sanders edging closer to the lead along likely Democratic primary voters.

The Field Poll released Wednesday morning put Hillary Clinton at 46 per cent and Bernie Sanders at 35 per cent, with a margin of error of 5.6 per cent. The poll shows his lead increasing in California by 5 points since an LA Times/USC released in September.

“Sanders leads Clinton among Democratic primary voters under age 40, and among independent voters who say they’ll be voting in the state’s Democratic presidential primary,” said Mark DiCamillo, Director of the Field Poll.

“When all registered voters statewide are asked their opinions of the two leading Democrats, each is viewed more positively than negatively, although slightly more voters statewide hold an unfavorable opinion of Clinton than Sanders.”

The poll put Martin O’Malley at one per cent in California.

likely voters which means bernie's support may be understated.

still it's not good for ms inevital to have only 11 point lead in california.and back in september biden was included.

The people of this state knows a thing or two about deregulated markets and how they don't work.

Out in the west Texas tow of El Paso, I turned off a spigot of natural gas
LA and Frisco are at the end of the pipeline, and if you want more you'll have to pay out your ass.

My car is not the only one on the road, here in Silicon Valley, with a Bernie sticker. I keep seeing more and more. I have yet to see a Clinton sticker. Hardly scientific, but it does make me wonder...

In Houston. I have seen Hillary stickers but not from this election cycle yet. But I've seen numerous Bernie stickers. And I'm in the near Northwest (Spring Branch) and not in the Montrose or other more Democrat areas.

Spring Branch is mixed because it consists of the rich neighborhoods and Memorial Villages south of I-10 outside the loop and the neighborhoods currently being gentrified north of I-10 and south of Longpoint between the Loop 610 and Beltway 8 and the lower/middle class heavily hispanic neighborhoods and apartment complexes north of Longpoint.

"more voters statewide hold an unfavorable opinion of Clinton than Sanders"

I believe this is true in every state, especially with independents.
