A bullet hole was discovered in a storefront window at the Bernie Sanders campaign headquarters in northwest Las Vegas on Thursday morning, the same day the Democratic presidential candidate was on site, Metro Police said today.
Officers responded just before noon to the campaign office at 815 South Rainbow Blvd., near Alta Drive, authorities said. Police said it appears a bullet went through the window but declined to comment on whether a shot had been fired.
Sanders did interviews with several media outlets at the office Thursday morning, including with the Sun.
The Sanders campaign declined comment.
Police are investigating.

Even my limited knowledge allows me to consider that had not a shot been fired the bullet would not have penetrated the window.
But the more important point is that this sort of intimidation may achieve the opposite intent.

(11,785 posts)Could be a stray bullet, unrelated to the campaign. I'd expect an attempt to intimidate to have been more obvious (more damage to the window than a single bullet hole).

(15,713 posts)layoff several years ago. One of executives thought that a bird flew into the window, they do that. But when he looked there was a bullet lodged between the panes of glass. The FBI said it came from a hill across the freeway.
So sometimes it is hard to tell because unless it is right outside you will not hear the gun shot and may not notice the glass if it id those thick double paned windows.
