Especially if their nominee is significantly younger. Whether it has an effect remains to be seen.

I honestly felt his age was against him. Then he started campaigning, and it's clear he has more energy and stamina than a lot of people half his age.

Hillary, unfortunately, looks worn out, and I find it very disturbing. Maybe it's just the terrible thing of we allow men to age but not women. Then look at Elizabeth Warren, who is less than two years younger, and she looks a decade or more younger than Hillary.

Ronald Reagan, on the other hand, was not only dumb as a stump, but probably already in the early ages of Alzheimer's by the middle of his second term.

I wish I had as much stamina! Not a factor with Hillary, either. The Democrats seem much smarter than Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Jeb! and the others.

Remember...don't trust anyone over 30? Ha. We just move that up every 10 years. Nothing to it. You wonder why they want to "tweak" Social Security? Here we come...65 has become the new frontier!

My mother didn't pass until she was 94...and then it was just her heart gave out. She'd been walking miles every day for decades. Her mother was 98...so no, we're just getting our third wind...LOL.

was my first thought when he entered the race. But after watching him in action, it has become a non-issue. Hell, ALL the candidates seem old, even when they aren't. That comes from being out of touch with real people. I am seeing less of this in Bernie than any other candidate. 2 years ago if you asked me I was going to support HC in 16 I would have said yes. Now, I am undecided. I am leaning towards BS in the primary, but WILL vote for the Democratic nominee in the general.

I'd be lying if I said I won't be taking a close look at Bernie's running mate. Then again, I took a close look at Obama's VP pick, too. You never know what will happen.

Teddy wasn't quite 43 when he became President after the assassination of William McKinley.
JFK wasn't quite 44 when he became the 35th President.

In Bernie's case, he seems great, but he does lose his voice a lot.

I just had a family member die at age 59, and another die at age 51 (and not because of any accidents) yet my mom and dad both lived to 88.

Oh, but we know Trump would be the most fit, EVER!

BTW, I can't believe there isn't a smiley available that shakes its head back and forth denoting a simple "no."

Yes, He seems to acquired a whole lot of wisdom with those years. And no, even if I was worried about his age/health I do trust his ability to chose a good/excellent running mate. That is what the vp pick is for. If we weren't serious about needing a vp for that reason then we just shouldn't have a vp.

about all the things he does in a day, week or month. He's Healthy too. He walks to work when he's in DC, so he's active. It seems like he doesn't like to be inactive....always busy, always on the go. It's probably how he stays so fit!
