Tax Credits and Hillary's medical plan vs Bernie's plan

From Sanders Redditt forum

Hillary's healthcare plan, in comparison to Bernie's: you get a tax credit, you get a tax credit, everyone gets a tax credit!

Under her plan, apparently, patients will save a whopping total of....

Under Clinton's plan, insurers would cover three doctor visits a year. This would build on current Affordable Care Act rules that provide free preventative care services, such as blood pressure screenings and vaccines. The campaign estimates it would save patients more than $100 a year.

...and she wants a "$5,000 tax credit" for people who pass 5% of their out-of-pocket costs.

We need to push how Clinton's plan doesn't actually do much for everyday Americans by pointing to how anemic it is in comparison to a single-payer system.

More than 100 dollars a year? I guess Bernie wins by default since his old plan (the one that they're tweaking so it costs the middle class even less), saves the average person 1200 per year, regardless of whether they go to the doctor or not.

And there is no out of pocket costs, so they won't need the extra 5k to pay for it (although from my personal experience, 5k covers like 3 doctors visits and maybe a few blood tests, in out of pocket costs).

His plan will save loads for people over hers, and he hasn't finished tweaking it so that the middle class saves even more.

So tax credit meaning... the medical industrial complex gets to keep all the profits but the federal government has to bail out all the citizens?
No. Thank. You.

Personally I think tax credits are shit solutions because
when people are living day to day or month to month
tax credits given out almost a year later don't help pay the the day to day or month to month bills .

1. The ACA fix

is a total waste of time, moving forward. I have been on it for 2.5 years, including 2016. The ACA is nothing more than catastrophic insurance. Once a year annual "wellness" visits are covered. IE: Your physical. Pretty much anything else outside of this goes directly towards your HIGH deductible, which most middle class people cannot afford. Fixing the ACA will take a decade to fix. It's a good temporary solution, but really doesn't help that many people.

Single Payer, no deductible insurance, is the only way to go. If you're sick for ANY reason, you're covered.
