There was a lot to read. Good job on taking the time to comment. The political process should be open to the people.

Edit: lol, then I felt I should make a comment over there, so I did.

It seems to be all about the strategy rather than the issues. Bernie grabs attention because he focuses on issues.

Bernie is out there telling people what he would do. Hillary avoids any policy question like the plague. She won't say anything until 6 weeks before the election.

The media avoids policy questions too, concentrating on less important stuff like Hillary had a cowlick in her hair last Tuesday--did you see that! Who is her stylist? Was it on purpose? Let's spend 20 minutes discussing this rather than Medicare expansion.

Same thing with social media, and "conventional wisdom". The establishment didn't manage to kill this movement at birth, and now it encompasses too many people for intimidation, or the sleaze attacks and lies, to work as intended.

When a guy like David Brock can't get away with his underhanded crap, it's a sign that a progressive movement has matured.

Soon the establishment will start to look at the polling that says the worst thing that can happen is for Senator Sanders to not be at the top of the ticket. They'll compare the numbers of him vs. Clinton and see who brings out the voters, and who might actually depress the vote. They'll see who wins the Independents in swing states, and districts that will be decided by narrow margins.

They'll see who brings out the younger voters who will decide which party governs in the future. They'll start to realize that they have to choose what this election is about, not who this election is about.

...and in the NYT, which means those comments will get wide exposure.
