Springtime for Joe Biden: Leads polls, Trump tweeting, firefighters behind him

Ex-Vice President Joe Biden has outrun bad mouthing from the media and turned in a very good week kicking off his third campaign in 31 years for the White House.

The former vice president has received a big bump in the polls. He has drawn clumsy hostile tweets from an obviously nervous Donald Trump. He's receiving union endorsements out of the box, starting with the International Association of Firefighters.

What does it mean?

Only one thing certain -- Biden will eat well campaigning this coming winter in the New Hampshire primary. Each firehouse in the Granite State seems to have its own recipe for chili. And the Firefighters are one union that goes out and works for its choice.

"Clearly the President is very worried about Biden. He is strengthening Biden with every tweet.," former Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill tweeted.

The ex-vice president faces formidable foes, as the nation saw at a Senate hearing on Wednesday morning. Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, displayed steel trap minds and repeatedly trapped Trump's Attorney General William Barr.
