Biden is just rolling out his campaign in Iowa.. and I am liking it

He has only been on the stump a couple of days.. and we in Iowa see all the candidates in very beginning when they work on their presentations , timing etc..when things are a little rougher.. Biden did surprisingly well I thought.. Not to worry.. VP Biden being VP Biden will from time to time make the gaff.. that is part of who he is..especially as he is rolling his campaign out..But he was well received and people like where he is headed and wants to take us..

Back to being an active part of the international community.. and not being relegated to back benches by Russia and China trying to push us aside.. that was what the whole China thing was about..

He is speaking truth to power.. GO GO JOE!!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

when he announced here that he was not doing policy etc.. when he was actually on a listening tour..we went to see him and he did great.. he was doing what you do on a listening tour, to see what peoples concerns were.. he was good.. so everyone a little later will get the more polished speeches..

The Big Dog came to town to campaign for Hillary in 2016 at the teamster hall across the street from me. Wish I'd been able to go to that.

....at least with high profile rallies.

We've had general election candidates come through here in the past - I was at rallies for both Clinton and Gore back in 1992, Obama in Bridgeport in 2012 and a front row seat for Bill Clinton (with Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly) campaigning for Hillary in 2016. Bill Clinton was also here campaigning for Dan Malloy in 2010, that was exciting.

I suspect we'll have more this time around during the primary campaign since there are so many running.

We are a sparse state.. You get 3 or 4 hundred people at meet up here you are knocking it out of the park.. 50 or 60 pretty common.. yesterday it was pretty packed.. I saw Pres Obama in 2012 outside at Morningside College.. we were outside.. maybe a thousand people.. I was right next to the stage..With so many people running you will get to see a lot of them.. because we are months and months away from the primary/caucus season.. and gee whiz there are some great people out there..

I am looking not only at future Presidents but Supreme Court Judges.. People who will be Secretaries and head up organizations that is going to move our country into the future.. Like VP Biden says.. we can call this a four year aberration.. and get moving forward again if we all keep our eyes on the prize..

(speaking of Trump.. he came to the State Fair and gave the kids rides in his private plane.. even he has to deal with our Iowa poking and prying
