Trump Is 'So Scared' Of Biden That White House Staff Can't Get Him To Stay Focused,,

https://www.politicususa.com/2019/05/02/trump-is-so-scared-of-biden-that-white-house-staff-cant-get-him-to-stay-focused.html

Donald Trump’s behavior since former vice president Joe Biden entered the 2020 Democratic primary race has made it clear: He is scared that Biden will be his general election opponent next year.

Trump is so scared, in fact, that his own staff is struggling to keep from talking about Barack Obama’s former VP.

According to Politico, Trump’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner has been begging the president to stop getting involved in the Democratic primary and just stay focused on his day job.

What if this is leaked from the Trump team because they want Joe to be the candidate in the general election?

Part of me thinks the people who actually threaten Trump are the ones he does not talk/tweet about. It's likely he's not sophisticated enough to think tactically like that. But you can't rule it out entirely that his campaign by attacking Biden/Bernie are deliberately elevating them in the media spotlight and suppressing the visibility of Kamala Harris for example.

I wonder if Team Trump would actually like to have Joe Biden as the general election opponent. They might see Joe Biden as easier to attack than some of the other candidates. Biden is close to Donald Trump's age, so Trump can attack him as being old and unable to perform the duties of the job. Yes, Trump is also old, but it could be harder for Biden then some of the younger Democratic candidates to deny the claim of being old and unable to keep up with the job. Also, whether or not it is far, Joe Biden has a problem with sexual harassment. Due to the accusations against Biden it might it hard for him to attack Trump's history of mistreatment of women. Trump could easily point to the accusations against Biden and then, when Biden claims the accusations were nothing more than misunderstandings, Trump can claim the same thing happened to him. Trump could go as far as to say that the accusations against Biden prove that your political opponents can levy false claims of sexual harassment against you in order to hurt your campaign. There are many other things Team Trump can throw at Biden that might be harder to throw at some of the other candidates.

This is all **bullshit** and a way for the Dumpster Campaign to get what they really want: a face-off with Joe Biden. I think we are all falling for ideas being planted in our heads about who would be the best challenger and we aren't paying attention to where those ideas are coming from. Who is saying that the WH staffers can't keep him from thinking about JB? If it is anyone in the WH, they are all liars so why should we believe anything they say?

The Dems best chance is to stay focused on the Dem candidates and really enjoy the great selection we have already. It's a great field and it's getting better. Let Trumpy flail away. He'll lie about anyone and anything to maintain control. He reportedly spends a substantial part of his "working day" testing out denigrating nicknames for his opposition, while he's got nothing to show for his 2.5 years in office. When the campaign gets more intense and primaries are held, Trumpy will trot out his old fear and loathing themes that will no longer sound new and alarming. He's always been a one trick pony, and we've all seen his rabbit-out-of-the-hat trick. It won't work anymore.

Trumpy's ONLY pathway to maintaining power and escaping prosecution is to manufacture a pretense for declaring a national emergency to suspend the Constitution and assume the powers of a dictator. That's what he'll do. He knows that his pathway to victory is getting very narrow. That's what's left.

He has no self-censoring mechanism (which could be a sign of overall cognitive decline). But as a narcissist, his every thought is about himself and his reputation*. When he's threatened, concerned, feeling dissed, he's going to pick at whomever or whatever it is that he feels is a threat. I do believe he is genuinely worried about Biden. I personally believe that he would love to campaign against any of the women candidates, as he did against Clinton. The misogynists within his base love nothing better than trashing women (and that includes a plentiful number of women who voted/will vote for him within that base). There are others that are vulnerable, but he'd love to be able to pull the gloves off against a female opponent again. Someone like Biden worries him because he's the genuine "real deal". He's authentic and tRump is so far from that he might as well be in another galaxy.

The Dems' bench is deep. Talent abounds. And Trumpy's track record demands accountability that will be addressed by any candidate that ends up dominating the primary field. The House investigations will continue and they won't go away. Each day will be a monumentally bad day for Trumpy. He's got a great propaganda machine for sure, but it won't be nearly enough to gaslight the entire nation.

Again, Trumpy's pathway to avoiding defeat is to create a pretense for declaring a "national emergency", citing the Patriot Act as justification, then suspend both the Constitution and the 2020 election. It's either that or face political, personal, and financial ruin.

Trump is a big-city elitist who always got away with wrong-doing to the point where he considers it unfair when he doesn't get away with wrong-doing. BUT he knows how to sell his crass selfishness as a down-to-earth "telling it like it is".

Joe Biden on the other hand is not selling a shtick. He actually IS comfortable engaging with people on a personal salt-of-the-earth level. That's his natural way of doing things. It's not a negotiation-tactic, it's real, it's how he actually is, as evidenced by the simple fact that he sometimes does too much.

Joe Biden uses Trump's prefered weapon. And he's better with it.

That's why Trump is so nervous about Biden.

I guess somewhat he needs to attack anyone who oppose him no matter what. He enjoys in destroying people which I guess makes him feel superior. Evil is in the WH.

Hopefully Biden or whoever wins the Democrat party's president candidacy and the people of America can cleanse this country of the evil. But alas, we must be aware of the GOPers tendency to cheat, stealing, suppression of votes and that ugly gerrymandering.

The only thing that has saved our country is Rump being distracted. Every thing he manages to carry out is disastrous.

The totally magnificent beautiful thing about it is drumpf won't listen to anyone in the world, other than PUtin. Only PUtin holds the reins to destroy him or make him truly filthy rich, not just a pretender.

But imo ALL of us better have Joe's back, because Trump is going to try to murder his reputation and smear his record past all belief. Any mistake Joe ever made in his life will be dragged out and twisted, so just ask yourselves in advance if Trump actually gives a rat's ass about Professor Anita Hill.
