John McCain.

I never thought I could dislike a president as much as Bush until Trump came along. You might disagree but I believe Bush was profoundly misguided. Trump is a fundamentally bad guy with a broken moral compass.

Rockefeller sought the Republican presidential nomination in 1960, 1964, and 1968.

Or did you mean only after they had been VP?
