Despite Bernie, Beto and Julian, Election Day in Fort Worth belongs to Betsy Price

ARLINGTON -- Fort Worth and Arlington have re-elected two of their best mayors ever, although not without some missteps.

So let this be a note for 2020: If people are working and times are good, even a Bernie Sanders or a Beto O’Rourke is going to have trouble knocking off an incumbent.

It was one of the most remarkable local campaigns ever. Two Democratic presidential candidates, O’Rourke and Julián Castro, made last-ditch stops to endorse in a Fort Worth mayor’s race.

Not to be outdone, recent visitor Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign endorsed in both Fort Worth and Arlington, and even for the local water authority board and Tarrant County College board.

I doubt that anything can be taken from the results of municipal elections in early May, but the conservative Fort Worth Star-Telegram didn't want to miss the opportunity to slam the Democratic presidential candidates.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He received 313,497 votes, just about half of all votes cast. For this election the entire number of votes was only 91,941.
Beto on the ticket makes a huge difference.

That I kinda agree. I DO NOT by any stretch of the imagination believe that 2020 is "in the bag" which I see/hear way too much for my liking. I truly believe that the National if not all the State goper's are crooked and will willingly steal, get help from our adversaries and do anything in their power to "win". We live in lawless times as far as political "leadership" from the right is concerned. They care nothing about election integrity as long as they hold the reins of power and way way WAY too many of the rank and file feel the same way. I know, my whole family is addicted to the cult of chump.

As an aside ….. I just noticed (I'm old *blush*) that with the addition of an "r" gop'er becomes "groper" lol. I know I know, but its early and I'm still on my first cup of coffee.

I don't have any confidence that they hold high principles and most are racist.
