Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumEverytime I hear Kamala Harris speak, I become more convinced she's the candidate for me!
The media spews bs, and Idiot calls her "nasty," lol, but she's brilliant, tough, charismatic and can toss that POS under the bus, big time!

(7,277 posts)Kamala Harris was my first choice. She is compelling in the Senate. As a candidate she can seem too scripted and cautious. In addition she supports Bernies version of Medicare for all, scrapping employer provided insurance but, so far, has not made a convincing case for doing so. That may be some way to get it through the Senate, but I havent heard it yet.

(62,406 posts)You can feel her in the room - she commands attention. Not sure if that is charisma or not.
I am split between Harris and Warren and probably will be for a long while yet.

(9,696 posts)I do think Inslee would be a great VP pic for either of them. He can have the environment as his issue.

(373 posts)Harris does have that indefinable presence about her. I think restoration of Americans' faith in law and order will be an issue. Warren's brain and sense of fairness is very impressive.

(47,470 posts)Yes, she possibly can win the nomination, but the reality is that Trump followers and moderates and independents will be hard to win.
But will be glad to be proven wrong.

(13,390 posts)I'm skeptical of prosecutors as a general rule, but she's a good age and seems to be embracing the priorities I want to see in our 2020 candidate.
I'm impressed by Warren's detailed policies but have reservations about her age. Harris is one of the candidates I am still listening to closely.
