Neither may make it all the way. Both bring something wonderful to the national conversation.

That photo is going to have an honored place in the Buttegieg family home and album and mayoral office.

.....and President Pete Buttigieg would be another solid step in the process of redemption for this country. Ages 94 and 37, don't you just love it. And President Carter can wear a turquoise bolo tie and rock it.

Is that he soldiered through after a devastating, public loss. After which, he focused his energies into doing good for the whole world. Many people in a similar situation would have folded in upon themselves, or spent decades licking their wounds.

Carter is someone to keep in mind anytime you don't get something that you want or are apprehensive about the future and wondering if there are still worthwhile things ahead of you.

Think about how many thousands--possibly millions--of lives have been touched and improved because of Jimmy Carter's post-presidency service.
