He lives in both London and the US. If he’s not a citizen, he can’t donate to a presidential campaign.

A performance by a noncitizen at a fundraiser for a presidential candidate is still an in-kind donation to that candidate, even if the performer was paid for his services with money raised by Americans. The question is not who paid said performer, but rather what value was accrued by the candidate from the performance itself. In other words, it doesn't matter how the performer benefits, it's how the candidate benefits from the performer that is subject to campaign finance laws.

Unlikely but he impressed me with his focus on climate, that should be priority for all candidates.

And also, I love Eric Idle, what's that song he sings ..
