So of course they're going to joke about whatever candidate they're discussing, but that doesn't mean that they're bashing whoever they're making fun of. That's just what they do and we know that Trevor or Colbert or Kimmel or Seth Meyers regularly have the Democratic candidates on their shows.

As has been said whenever they show these old clips, it just goes to show that his message has remained consistent! And the comedy shows are meant to be funny, but Trevor has had numerous Democratic candidates on the show - including Bernie Sanders!
