Biden: Americans will never hear me speak ill of another Democratic candidate.

Newsweek, May 9, 2019

JOE BIDEN SAYS WHEN HE CONSIDERED ENTERING 2020 DEMOCRATIC RACE, HE ‘NEVER ANTICIPATED THERE’D BE 300 PEOPLE RUNNING’

snip During a campaign fundraising event in Los Angeles on Thursday, Biden said “there's a lot of people who are qualified and decent and running,” referring to the 22 Democrats who have either already entered the 2020 presidential race or formed a presidential exploratory committee.

“And I think it's one heck of a field, although I never anticipated there'd be 300 people running,” the former six-term senator added.

Biden then pointed out that although “all that polling stuff looks good" for him at this point, he also acknowledged that the race “is a marathon and we have a long way to go.”

Despite his quip about the high quantity of candidates running, Biden asserted that Americans will “never hear me speak ill of another Democratic candidate.”

His blunt personality makes policy comparisons- which they all should do to draw battle lines - too abrasive and harsh. I hope he can master that as well as he did after Hillary became the nominee, and fast.

It look me a long time to settle in Warren. It’s a bit like finding a home.

Whatever misgivings I have about what a Biden Presidency might look like, it a joy to see his support climbing into the stratosphere.

I know some here have told me that he should ignore trumps insults. But i think if he is the candidate, he needs to have ready responses for whats to come. Trump loves insulting, but like most bullies he hates a response. But they'd better be good ones.

The Fix Analysis
Biden disses Clinton: ‘I never thought she was a great candidate. I thought I was a great candidate.’

By Aaron Blake

Former vice president Joe Biden stirred the Democratic pot a little bit on Thursday night.

Appearing at the SALT hedge fund conference in Las Vegas, the possible 2020 presidential candidate weighed in on Hillary Clinton's 2016 candidacy in a way that Clinton supporters sure won't like.

“I never thought she was a great candidate,” Biden said, according to reports. “I thought I was a great candidate.”

Biden clarified, according to CNN, that “Hillary would have been a really good president.” But that isn't likely to make Clinton supporters feel much better.
