Biden is so far ahead. I don't recall a time when someone was that far ahead in the primary this early and didn't go on to win it.

What's interesting is the 2nd and 3rd slot. Sanders won't be VP, but looks like Warren and Harris could be possibilities.

Although I'm not leaning to supporting Biden, if he gets the nomination I'll vote for him, and I would be happy with either Warren or Harris being on the ticket. But strategy-wise, I don't think either of them offer what he needs in a VP. Buttigieg may (midwest, and a minority, if you count being gay). Indiana is a Republican stronghold, so I wonder if Buttigieg being on the ticket would help with that. O'Rourke helps because of Texas, but another white male probably is probably not a good idea.

Klobuchar? From MN. Female. Smart. I'd be happy to see her on the ticket, and she adds strength in a middle America area. But MN voted for Hillary, anyway, in 2016, so....

Stacey Abrams would add to the ticket. A minority and a woman (large Democratic demographic groups), and a southern state that narrowly voted for Trump. But people say she needs to run for the U S Senate, to help the party there. So I don't know.

A tough decision. Just thinking out loud.

That's what a person making fun of using cell phones for the poll would do, even tho you say that wasn't your purpose for using it. So I accept what you say. But using the "sarcasm" emoji can't be used for either stance. Only for what you say your stance was.

Just sayin'. You are free to use whatever you want. But if you don't want your sarcasm misunderstood, it may be best to use the emoji intended for that.

Case in point: If that's what you meant, I misunderstood it. Whatever.

Perhaps it's because younger people simply don't answer phone calls without knowing who is calling and are less likely to respond to polls. But it's a huge factor in actually understanding the breakdown of the polls.

In this case, 65% of respondents were over 55. And 60% were white.

Whether it's Biden in big numbers in these polls - or if it were someone else - I just don't think we can read much into them . . . especially this early in the game. I'm pretty sure if the demographics were 65% under 55 - and/or 60% nonwhite - the results would be different. But since we don't see polls like that - we have no way of knowing.

It will be much more telling after initial primary results are in.

It's really so sad that no discussion of any kind is possible when defensive people take everything as an attack. How do you know Biden isn't my 2nd or 3rd choice? Why do you need to misconstrue in support of your candidate?

Know the reason the poll is so heavily weighted to older people. I was trying to come up with a possible explanation for such an older skewered sampling. It wasn’t an assumption and certainly not one to have elicited such a strange and off putting response from you.
