(18,486 posts)He's just not presidential to me. Maybe it's a function of my age, but he just comes across to me as too much like a kid who needs more seasoning and experience.

(314 posts)Does he need more "seasoning and experience" as well?

(18,486 posts)It's not an age thing for Beto. It's his demeanor.
I have a feeling I'm not the only one who sees him that way.

(314 posts)I don't know why his demeanor should be a detriment for being president.
It's a shame many feel this way.
I feel Buttigieg is too glib for me, but I guess I'm in the minority. I wasn't enthused by quite a few of a recent statement of his.

(89,247 posts)i think he will be the surprise in the early states. people are attracted to positive campaign energy and he will have it by the time people get ready to vote.
he wants to spend the early days doing smaller events and giving as many people a chance to see and ask him a question in person as possible.
but it's all part of a long term plan.
I also think with Beto we will have a much better relationship with the countries south of our border and he will do things to improve the situation in those countries themselves so people don't feel the need to risk their lives to get out of there.
