Why isn't Bernie/Liz's pet issue of "breaking up the big banks" discussed anymore?

Yes, it is 2019 and the Financial Collapse of 2008 is way behind us. Banks are financially healthy again.

In reality Dodd-Frank forces the banks to keep enormous amounts of capital to absorb losses.

But they never mention it anymore.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The oxygen in a sealed political closet is limited? Nothing to see here, Biden from 2008...if you wanna find out what I speak of, just let your fingers do the walking. "They never mention it anymore."

Here's a link to Sanders' 2020 platform regarding Wall Street reform.

It's the leading bullet point.

"Break up too-big-to-fail banks."

No plan... just slogans... bumper-sticker politics. It's just that I have higher expectations. I want more from the candidate who earns my support.

May 24, 2018 · Republican lawmakers and the banking industry cheered a measure they said would help unshackle banks — and the economy — from regulatory burdens. ... The Dodd-Frank bill was a Democrat-led initiative that passed with the support of just three Republicans and it has been under constant attack from Republicans ever since.

Banks may not be as healthy as we think.

That’s a great question. Seems like we’re headed down that path again.

Not to mention Bernie's infamous NY Mag interview. But it's something both Sanders and Warren still discuss to some degree, they just haven't been asked about it.

Much of the policy conversation is in a whole other climate with a GOP administration, as the candidates need to focus more on undoing the horrors being unleashed upon us now rather than building on the successes of a previous Dem White House.

On top of that we've got 20+ other candidates so it's tricky to narrow in on everyone's proposals more thoroughly until candidates start dropping out.
