1. We need her brilliance in the Senate if not as President

The Secretary of the Treasury is a mostly ceremonial position with no real power to implement anything. The Secretary of the Treasury can make suggestions and give speeches, but the real power resides in the Federal Reserve. Removing powerful Senators and governors from important positions and putting them in cabinet posts with no power is a terrible mistake.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

16. Agreed... she needs to be in the Senate. (Unless we have a 75/25 majority.)

her "I have a plan". Those that work to be informed are liking what they see with Warren. I had one today tell me how she is seeing more and more support for Warren with her friends.

7. If she's not President, I'm not sure we should lose her Senate seat for Treasury

I agree that she'd be great. But Massachusetts has a Republican governor who would choose her replacement. That replacement would serve until an expedited special election was held.

8. She is running for President

I respect that you mean well. But Elizabeth Warren is currently running for President and judging by the polls, is one of the top 3 or 4 candidates.

It feels sexist to me to find other, lower level positions for her to fill when she is running such a terrific campaign for the top job and people like her, they really like her.

Eliz Warren made an impressive discussion of her thoughts and plans for the economy on Lawrence O'D show, and there is NO reason NOT to consider her (and ANY candidate) for positions other than President, when they appear so well qualified.

My post clearly articulated how I personally felt by a post suggesting the top female candidate for President would be a good fit for a lower level cabinet position. I accused no one.

10. Elizabeth Warren for Senator from Mass

We have a Republican governor here, he pretends to be a moderate, but he’s not. He’ll appoint a right winger.
