Reading Inslee's record of accomplishments up against any of the traditional Democratic Party candidates will better inform us all.
During his time as governor, some of Jays top accomplishments include:
--Made Washington among the top states for use of renewable energy due to the expansion of solar and wind energy.
--Enacted one of the most aggressive electric vehicle and charging station initiatives in the nation, making Washington one of the top three states for electric vehicle adoption.
--Reduced use of coal and fossil fuels with Executive Order 14-04, which includes a commitment to phase out electricity imported from coal-fired sources.
--Ensured that regulatory review of proposed energy projects includes a comprehensive analysis of greenhouse gas impacts.
--Electrified the states transportation system, including support for more electric vehicles and electrifying our ferries. Washington remains among the top three states for zero-emission vehicle penetration, and the state is helping to lead that trend through its aggressive procurement policy.
--Implemented a Clean Air Rule to cap carbon emissions.
--Work with West Coast leaders and global partners through multiple partnerships, including the Pacific Coast Collaborative, Ocean Acidification Alliance and the Under2 Coalition to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote clean energy jobs.
--Investing in an education system that sets up all students for success, from early learning to career training
--Tackled the decade-long struggle to fully fund basic education and reinvesting billions of new dollars into our K-12 schools so they can hire and retain good teachers, provide mentoring for new educators, and provide ample support for students.
--Enacted unprecedented expansion of early learning and all-day kindergarten.
--Made Washington one of the top five states for increased higher education funding, the first-in-the-nation tuition reductions for all college students in 2015 and the most robust financial aid program in the nation.
--Launched the transformative Career Connect Washington initiative to help all students find a pathway to in-demand jobs through apprenticeships, mentorships, and other career-connected opportunities.
Promoting a strong economy and a valued workforce
--Bipartisan passage of a 16-year, $16 billion transportation and transit package.
--Passage and implementation of the nations best paid family and medical leave program.
--Protecting net neutrality through passage of first-in-the-nation net neutrality legislation.
--Preparing Washingtons businesses and workers for sustained economic success through career-connected learning, promotion of research and development in innovative sectors, and policies to support economic security for all workers such as individual marketplaces for retirement savings and health care.
--Civil rights and justice reform
--Signed the Equal Pay Opportunity Act which makes it easier to hold employers accountable for providing equal pay and promotion opportunities to all employees
--Signed the bipartisan DREAM Act to give every aspiring young Washingtonian a chance to go to college regardless of where they were born.
--Promoted the rights of the LGBTQI community through policies to ban conversion therapy, provide a way for non-binary individuals to change their gender on their birth certificates, ensuring transgender individuals are not discriminated against for health coverage, and more.
--Enacted a death penalty moratorium based on the unequal application of capital punishment.
--Implemented Washingtons recreational marijuana market, including the launch of the Marijuana Justice Initiative that offers pardons to thousands of individuals with misdemeanor marijuana conviction.
--Launched Results Washington, a nationally-recognized, data-driven effort to improve the efficiency and transparency of state government.
--Ensured transparency by choosing not to use executive privilege to withhold records.
--Implemented continuous improvement and Lean management systems throughout state government that are saving money and time for agencies and the people and businesses they serve, as well as helping improve state employees job satisfaction

He'd put Stacy Abrams in his Cabinet, too -- he hasn't made public speeches on her behalf for nothing!

Im all in.
Already put a little money where my mouth is - toward his campaign.
I like what Im seeing.
I like what Ive heard - both about and directly from him.
I like what Ive read.
I have yet to see, hear, and read anything about him that I dont like. And granted, NO candidate is perfect or checks all the boxes I hope to see checked. But this guy comes closer to acing every issue better than anybody else out there, to date.
You talk about the climate crisis and right away, youve got my attention.

(49,152 posts)the current face of "Climate Change". Gore's endorsement now would be lost in the shuffle. Once the field is winnowed down to five or six, and Gov. Inslee is among that group, I expect Gore to back him. Bigtime.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Gore accompanying Gov. Inslee on the campaign trail.
