All of the well-run campaigns have staff pollsters or work with polling firms. Warren, Harris, etc. are building coalitions of voters -- not trying to appeal to everyone -- to win in the primaries. It is impossible to appeal to everyone, so there's no use bothering. In a primary, you need to convince enough people -- not all people.

Whoever is the nominee will need the Obama coalition plus others. And, spoiler alert, the coalition will not gel around a candidate just because he was Obama's VP.

The coalition that Biden is trying to build is different. I can't imagine Obama going after NRA members, for example.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Failure to meet expectations there is a body blow to a campaign.

If Biden does not win Iowa, he's done.

Anyone else who wins Iowa will be skyrocketed upwards.

the nomination. We'll lose all 50 states. This busing stuff is stupid beyond belief. They won't bother to use it against Biden. But they will use it against her. They will be playing her statement to Biden on Fox daily if she is the nominee. She will have to backtrack it. We will be trying to defend it. What a huge mistake. UUUUGGGGGGEEEEE. There was no reason to bring this up. It has no benefit other than temporarily feeling like a better person than Biden. Every swing state voter will be Busing?

The problem with Democrats is that they believe the polls saying trump will lose to any Democrat. Nope. If Dems come across as too extreme, voters will vote for the 'devil they know,' or stay home. The wrong Dem would not only cost us the white house but also down ballet votes.

primary today, I would vote for:

The new standings are hardly set in stone. Six of 10 say they might change their mind before the caucuses; just one in four say their minds are firmly made up. The second set of debates, scheduled for the end of the month in Detroit, could upend the horserace again.

and I am sure more attacks will come her way, but I honestly think she can handle whatever is thrown at her, and come out just fine. A lot of people didn't know her before the debates, now the do, and the poll numbers show they like her, and the more they get to know her, the more they will like her.

When they show me polls of Kamala winning the primaries in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Nevada, Mississippi, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kentucky, Florida and other red states, then i will change my view. The delegate count is what matters...

primary today, I would vote for:
