CNN Poll: Democrats see Sanders as the best to handle health care

CNN)About half of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents want the government to provide a national health insurance program, but don't want it to completely replace private insurance, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS out Monday.

Yet, the candidate who is seen as the strongest on health care is Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, the candidate who unapologetically backs "Medicare for All" and wants to see the end of the private insurance industry. When asked which Democratic candidate for president can best handle health care, Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents supported Sanders above the rest (26%).

(snip)

Potential Democratic voters' trust in Sanders on health care seems to hold regardless of whether they want to eliminate private insurance. Among those who favor a national plan and want to completely repeal private insurance, 36% said Sanders would do the best job of handling health care.

Those who favor a national plan but still want some private insurance think Sanders would do the best job in slightly lower numbers, but he still tops the pack (27%). Harris gets slightly better ratings on handling health care in this group -- 13% versus only 3% among those who want to completely replace private insurance.

Advocating for Medicare for all makes possible all the steps in-between that would improve Health Care.

You want to stake out your STRONGEST position before the Republicans start demanding you "compromise".

That's just common sense.

while back suggesting that if Sanders leaves the Senate, that seat is more likely to end up going to a Republican than the seats of the other Dems running for president.

It seems to me these CNN polls are putting out some confusing messages lately.

These poll releases themselves seem to be getting convoluted and self contradictory, leaving everyone with a vey cloudy idea of what the results actually mean.

Especially when multiple poll questions, multiple polls themselves, and their results are grouped in their release and presented as insight into one topic, with one headline.

Either it's just an expectable attempt to create click bait content by a for-profit media company, or the combined poll questions themselves are just too nuanced when for use with quick polls of the general public and the quick short answers any poll demands.

1. "Do you support murder? 'No'.
2. "Do you support the death penalty? 'Yes'

Huh?

We all know you can sway people's answers to ANY question by how you ask it, but you can also manipulate any answer by how you present the answer itself.

1. Do you support murder? 'No'. 100%
2. Do you support the death penalty? 'Yes'. 50 %

Headline;

"One Out of Two People Say Killing Others Is Acceptable".

(Those numbers are hypothetical, of course.)

primary today, I would vote for:
