Did he just say we should "not go in the direction of socialism"? Did I hear that answer right?

Why didn't he just say democrats don't want socialism as a form of government, that its a fucking republican lie and boogeyman?

And let's be clear, when you have to stop and say "no, no, I'm a DEMOCRATIC Socialist" you've already lost the argument.

None. And while I wish Sanders hadn't labeled himself that way I don't think we've already lost the argument because of him.

I think Delaney's answer was just a gaff on his part. But we need to push back on these lies, especially in "Town Hall" forums.
