Will William Barr investigate any Dem who wins the nomination?

Barr is the most partisan AG the country has ever seen. Will he start investigating whomever wins the Democratic Nomination? I can see Trump being down in the polls and directing Barr to indict whoever his opponent is, and they'd be able to find a Trump judge to sign off on it.

Is this something that we have to plan for?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The GOP is playing for keeps. They are close to one-party rule & they are going to pull out all the stops. I give us about a 30% chance of surviving Trump/Barr/McConnell, & that's on a good day.

and that they will not be troubled by silly concepts such as honesty, fairness, ethics, or voting rights. And that we'd better be ready for them. But I think our chances of victory (and survival) are more than 50% IF we are ready for their dirty tricks.

Exactly, the Dems need to have a plan on how they'll handle this, not just legally, but how the campaign will respond.

I would not put it past him to order Barr to do just that?

Which is why we need to come out in huge numbers, register everyone who will be 18 by Nov. 2020 to vote out this Trump regime.

DRAIN the swamp for real.

And it can just be any old investigation, Trump will paint it like it's bigger than Watergate. They could be investigating tax evasion by Joe Biden's paper boy and Trump would paint it as a matter of National Security.

Trump INC starting building files on the front runners the day he took office. By now they all have at least one operative in their campaigns. His propaganda team would make Goebbels envious.

Not only do I think that Trump will ask Barr to investigate and maybe charge whoever his opponent is, he's without a doubt also use US intelligence assets to spy on the opposing campaign.

They've been setting that one up for years with Trump's unproven claim that Obama used the FBI to spy on his campaign. Trump will say, Obama did it.

Nixon was paranoid, and Barr and Trump are strategically bring to destroy democracy. I expect they will use whatever levers they can.

This to me is one reason we need to not fall for the propaganda going out of Russia and other sources-including Republican operatives.

We will not have a perfect candidate and we will need to build a strong party to counter the lies and make sure we elect as many democrats as possible.
