A part of Bidens Justice Reform is to push the SAFE Justice Act through. HR 4261

Biden wants to take additional steps but this is a huge part of it. It's main sponsor is Bobby Scott (D-VA).

I have been reading up on what Biden is proposing. It’s a big deal. It’s bold.

It's a solid package Scott has put forward. Biden has added some things that are really big.

Scott is a good ally on this, good instincts by Joe. As you see from the vid I posted, Scott was one of the CBC members I followed at the time in the papers and on C-span who opposed the Crime Bill.

He talked about the politicization of crime policy a few years back:
