De Blasio says he won't resign as mayor if he runs for President

New York Daily News

Mayor de Blasio won’t step down from his day job at City Hall if he decides to run for President in 2020.

“No,” Hizzoner said when asked whether a presidential run would mean he would resign from running the country’s biggest city, during an appearance on Fox 5’s Good Day New York.

De Blasio — who said his family would have to be on board for any presidential run — said he would serve the city “with full consideration of what has to get done.”

“Listen, there are a lot of people out there over the years who have to make a decision on whether to run for another office. It's not the first time this has happened,” de Blasio said.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

As with many who are running or are still considering it, there's no place for de Blasio. Garrett78 Mar 2019 #2

And I think that he would be particularly deluded if he thought he was ready.

Why embarrass himself? He'd be gone after Iowa, if not before.
