A Politico article a few years ago listed him as one of the most influential journalists on the left, and he was listed between Matt Taibbi and Lawrence O'Donnell, and just a few spots below David Corn and Robert Reich:

(48,911 posts)And it isn't just MSNBC. Which has not shown any favoritism toward Biden. I've posted here before about what Chris Hayes and Joy Reid in particular have said about him.
But Chris Hayes, despite being a Sanders supporter, pretty much agreed with what Yglesias was saying.
Tonight's debate really wasn't a victory for Warren and Sanders because they weren't facing their real rival, Biden.

(6,551 posts)The centrists aren't scoring well, and most polls still show Biden's huge lead on who's most electable.

Thanks for at least agreeing that you did exactly that which you decried.

(82,383 posts)your analysis of that is colored by your desires. I'm sure you 'll be able to find some reason to say he "couldn't handle it."
Harris' schtick didn't work, as she is no better off, in spite of the pundits trying to make her happen. She did not "surge" ahead of Biden.
Thus this is all smoke and mirrors and nothing dramatic will happen as a result of this second debate amongst 20 candidates. This is just for entertainment and pundit bloviating.

(2,328 posts)The person responsible for this tweet a very conservative web site designer.
He has a link to his company on his twitter profile regalbluemedia.com
From his about me page:
Collier was instrumental in #DONTGO, the immediate precursor to the Tea Party movement. #DONTGO was an online mobilization portal and, in its day, the most effective such in the center right. Collier played a key role in supporting efforts to organize the very first TEA PARTY events. His mobilization, rapid response teams, and developing pop-up web properties materially added to the Tea Partys original influence and whose reach extended to effecting White House action.
Collier was the chief community manager for Team Sarah, a social network recognized as the most successful (1 million page views a month) conservative white label political social network of the 2008 presidential election cycle. Collier devised and implemented the moderation and mobilization standards and was in charge of neutralizing attacks by political adversaries (trolls).
Collier co-founded the Freedomist which led to the creation of a digital newspaper, The Tioga Freedomist. Under his management this drew over 1 million page views a month, becoming the, dominant news source for its county and environs The Drudge Report, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh referenced some of the original Freedomists news stories. Collier recently resumed an active role for Freedomist.com.
I know that the article hes referencing is from politico, so why didnt you just use a link to the article? Instead you used a tweet from a conservative media guy who goes on FOX and is followed by Hannity, Limbaugh, and Drudge.
Strange thing to do to support ones candidate on a democratic site.

(935 posts)The GOP's propaganda machine is non-stop pushing "how far left and unelectable" Democrats are. Those moderates are not doing Biden's work. They're doing Fox News' work.

(935 posts)In that case, the better way to handle a debate while promoting unity is to explain why your proposals are better or might be more popular. Adopting rw labeling of "far left" and "extreme" are not that. They are pure rw talking points and a clear attempt to spread disunity.

(68,456 posts)I do not believe if only we framed unpopular positions better...we would sway people...I honestly find that somewhat condescending.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
I think some our positions are unpopular due solely to being mis-framed by the GOP, not because they are inherently 'wrong' on some level. If we could do a better job of rejecting GOP framing and communicate on our own terms, the outcome might well be different.
