Warren would beat trump in a debate, but trump would still win reelection against Warren.

The pundit class will not decide the nominee.

Would not surprise me at all if he found some kind of manufactured grievance to get out of one or more of them. Some will remember he complained in October 2016 about NFL games conflicting with the debate. So, it’s not exactly uncharted territory. Also important to remember there is no requirement to participate. Sure, it would look bad to half of the country that is sane. His supporters would love it. So more or less how it normally is every day of this admin.
