Joe Scarborough is working hard to help the Democratic candidates.

He just went on a royal rant telling them to stop giving Trump material for talking points and to stop quibbling about minutiae and to get to what is really important, which is attacking the fascist living in The White House and how Trump is destroying the world.

He was wrong about one thing. Not every candidate in the debates attacked Joe Biden and Obama's legacy. Michael Bennet and Amy Klobuchar did not take the bait.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

to bait the candidates to attack each other. Most took the bait. A couple did not. I'll be glad when the field gets narrowed down so there won't be as many desperate one percenters trying to score points to get noticed. Thankfully it's early in the race and this debate will be forgotten in January.

Scarborough, a blowhard himself, rarely shuts up long enough to let others make their points. In fact, others on his show often make much better observations that Scarborough, except Mika who, to me, is quite vapid.

Of course that was then and this is now. That's a silly observation. My point is that he blows with the wind. Back then, Trump was good for ratings. Now, anti-Trump is good for ratings. Certainly you can see that. Do you think Scarborough will be behind the Democratic candidate next Fall? Has he done that in the past?

As far as the Democrats needing all the help we can get, you're right. But it's very strange when our "allies" are people who vehemently opposed us in the past. Ana Navarro, Max Boot and Rick Wilson come to mind. They are all right-wingers who oppose Trump. Are the enemies of our enemy really our allies?

Scarborough is unreliable.

It's surprising and disappointing to me that most of our candidates, presumably the cream of the Democratic crop, let the goddamn narrators steer them into attacking each other instead of the orange blob fascist in the White House.

I hope the gang of them communicate somehow before the next debate that they should not allow the narrative of the Democratic Party debates be set by talking head pundits who want to spark division in our leadership.

God! These are supposed to be some of the smartest of our party. Williamson, Bennet and Klobuchar, and I would add Wang, are the only ones smart enough not to fall for the hype.

.... Joe Scarborough still has much to atone for, I have a question. Can you show us that you have done more in the last 3 years than Joe Scarborough has to help the Democratic party defeat Trump? Do you have an audience of about 1 million people you reach 5 days a week, 3 hours a day, where you spend anywhere from 75 to 90% of your airtime completely eviscerating the criminal in the White House? You may not have any atoning to do, but I would contend there is a lot of catching up to be done. I am glad Joe Scarborough is on our side, and I believe he has atoned enough to be considered a solid ally.

My question is, has three years, 3 hours a day, 5 days a week reaching approximately 1 million people a day, and condemning and resigning from the Republican Party atonement enough? Has anybody here at Democratic Underground done more to help bring down Trump and get a Democrat elected the next president? Or for some, will there ever be enough?

all the networks covered MF45 like he was royalty and already president. Joe & Mika were part of it. I'm glad they are opposing him openly now, but wouldn't be surprised if they got behind republicons again at some point. "Dead intern" Joe is a republicon who the party got to crazy for, he's not a democrat or a liberal. Mika claimed to be liberal, but has not been a reliable liberal democrat. If I remember right, she had her hair styled like Palin's during that campaign. She definitely sticks a finger in the wind to see which way it's blowing.
