She can really draw the crowds! We still have a long way to go before the first primary votes are cast, and she will continue drawing crowds, and getting voters, right up till the end.

These pictures indicate they're not that successful. Which is really good news.

She's in school and working her ass off there.

I have never experienced my precious so engaged in the electoral process until Sen. Harris.

Thanks for posting so much on this, bigtree!

and millennials more aware, enthused and involved in the process. There's always that turning point. For me it was Reagan. For them it's 43 & 45.

I'm just hoping that enough of us older and younger folks will vote that fucker out of office with the most progressive candidate. And Sen. Harris is indeed, if not the best, in that number to galvanize generations.

...I don't want the legacy of his presidency to be gun shy Dems and politicians with feet of clay.

I went right out and registered independent to support Anderson against Carter because he was in favor of legalization of weed. Then I promptly found I couldn't vote in our primary in my state. Ended up voting for Carter. Been a Democrat ever since.

Jesse Jackson was my first real political crush. Once you've gone Jesse Jackson liberal you never go back...

Best wishes for your daughter's political future (and ours, too!)

but I won't go further because there's 15 months to go and I'll rack another DU hide

Jesse Jackson, I know! Right??? I don't care what anybody thinks about him, even myself at times, but Jackson put us on the map. "Among civil rights veterans, Jackson remained a polarizing figure. Young refused to endorse him, and so did Coretta Scott King and Julian Bond... Jackson shrugged it off: "Gandhi didn’t go to the leaders for approval for his movement. Neither did Jesus.” And that was it for me in that netherworld of indecision, wanting to badly side with our leaders and knowing deep down they are also human with consciousness probably no higher than mine.

Great point! Good memories. I thank you because I've never looked back.
